Despite being one of the last Councils in London to retain a minimum quota of tickets which a parking operator must issue, the Tory administration refused Lib Dem attempts to reform the quota.
Cllr Mike Cox, Leader of the Liberal Democrat group in Hillingdon said
"Hillingdon' parking contract is outdated. It punishes the contractor for not issuing enough tickets. This can and does lead to undue pressure to issue more tickets in order to make possibly unrealistic targets."
Ealing council has recently abolished the "quota" system leaving Hillingdon as only one of 2 London Councils which still has quotas
In June a Select Committee chaired by Gwyneth Dunwoody MP stated " It is difficult to imagine any council who has quotas"
