Lib Dem Cllrs in Hillingdon gave notice that they will waive their right to an increase in their allowances.

AT the Council meeting on 22nd March when Conservative Councillors gave themselves up to 80% pay increases after cutting key services Liberal Democrats refused to accept any increase. Leader of the Lib Dem group Cllr Mike Cox said

"We have decided to waive our increase this year as we consider any increases unjustifiable at a time when such key services are being slashed by the administration. The increase will instead be used to replace support that the Tory administration had taken from us in order to service residents better."
