On 14th August 2006 notices were dispatched to Councillors calling for a "Special" Council meeting to set up an Investigation and Disciplinary Committee into the Chief Executive Dorian Leatham.

Cllr Mike Cox said "This is an extremely regrettable development. Dorian Leatham has made many friends in Hillingdon as exemplified by the actions he took following 9/11, 7/7 and other terrorists threats to the borough. This process is the last thing his friends would want to see. Once this investigation committee has concluded perhaps we should have another one to expose how Hillingdon got into such a mess in the first place. Whatever the outcome the result will cost Hillingdon dearly."
