Hillingdon's Liberal Democrats
Hillingdon's Liberal Democrats will continue to speak up for ordinary residents and to hold our Conservative-run Council to account. Please get in touch with us if there's something we can help with.
Following news that long serving Councillor Jill Rhodes is to step down at May's election, the Lib Dems have announced their new team to take forward the work for residents of Hillingdon East.
At the Council meeting on the 25th February both the Conservatives and Labour parties in Hillingdon united to reject extra help for the carers and pothole repairs. The Liberal Democrat amendment to the Councils budget would have been funded by cuts in Councillors allowances, Civic Centre Communication budgets and cuts to the massive pay and pensions for senior directors.
The Leader of Hillingdon Council has stated he doesn't give "a Monkey's Uncle" for official statistics and and performance guidelines. "In Hillingdon, residents views always come first" he proudly proclaims. Well maybe not when it comes to important matters.
