3.45.00pm GMT Fri 8th Feb 2008

Mike congratulates one of the winners

At a Hillingdon Table Tennis championship organised by the Eastcote and Hillingdon Table Tennis Clubs Harefield Academy came top and Bishopshalt second with the 2 man Mellow Lane team doing remarkably well to come third.

Ruislip Manor Councillor, Mike Cox, who was drafted in to help umpire some of the games, said:

"It was a great competition. The kids loved it and showed some tremendous skill and fantastic sportsmanship. They were a credit to themselves and their schools. Tribute should also be paid to the officials and teachers whose organisation made it enjoyable for everyone."
