Elizabeth Evendon-Kenyon is the Liberal Democrat candidate for Uxbridge and South Ruislip.
"Having spent much of my career to date as a lecturer at Brunel University, I am a specialist in inter-faith relations, ways in which to promote social cohesion, and in media manipulation of public thought. I have worked tirelessly to counter Islamophobia and anti-semitism - something much-needed in the political representation in this constituency.
"I care deeply about tackling the social care crisis, climate change, homelessness, loneliness, and in ensuring our children and young people have opportunities to develop their careers and roles as good citizens.
"I'm here to promote an inclusive, kinder, more compassionate approach to politics, one that calls the press and politicians to account when necessary, and where everyone genuinely feels their voice is being heard, and their rights protected."
Dr Elizabeth Evenden-Kenyon is now the Director of Mediawatch UK, and an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Oxford. She has published widely on propaganda in the press, education policy, inter-faith relations, and social-cohesion initiatives. She is a regular public speaker and media commentator.
